Bailey Lotz was named the WCC's Player of the Week after batting .417 in five games last week.
SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Gaels' first baseman Bailey Lotz has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after batting .417 at the Hawai'i Paradise Classic last week.
The senior went 5-for-12 at the dish and had two doubles and three RBIs in the five-game tournament. Lotz propelled Saint Mary's to victory in the team's season opener with a 4-for-4 performance against Georgia State. In addition, she drew three hit by pitches to finish the week with a .533 on-base percentage.
For her efforts, Lotz was also named to the Paradise Classic All-Tournament Team.
Saint Mary's returns to the field for their first home game of the season on Feb. 20 against Cal. More information on the contest can be found on the Gaels' schedule page.
