
SB | Lemmon Earns Second PCSC Pitcher of the Week Award

PORTLAND, Ore. - Saint Mary's junior pitcher Jessica Lemmon has been named the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Coastal Division Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office this morning. This is the second PCSC Pitcher of the Week award of the season for Lemmon.
Lemmon finished last week with a 3-0 record and a 0.59 ERA in 23.2 innings pitched. The Castro Valley, Calif. native allowed just 15 hits and four runs (two earned) with only five walks and 21 strikeouts.
Lemmon started the week with a complete game shutout over Princeton on March 20. The junior had a no-hitter going after five innings and eventually gave up just two hits with no runs scored. She also struck out a career-high nine batters against the Tigers while allowing two walks in the 2-0 win.
Lemmon also earned the complete game win over Princeton on March 23 in the first game of the Libby Matson Tournament hosted by Pacific. In that game, she gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) and matched her career-high again with nine strikeouts.
In her final start of the week, Lemmon helped the Gaels shutout Pacific on March 25. In 7.0 innings pitched, she gave up six hits with an unearned run in the 3-0 win over the Tigers.
Saint Mary's returns to action on Wednesday when they host a doubleheader against San Jose State beginning at 2 p.m.
