MTEN | Gaels Earn Two Wins Against Hawaii

HONOLULU — In their second match of their Hawaiian road trip, Saint Mary's (2-1) fell to the Rainbow Warriors(3-4) with a 5-2 score on Tuesday.

Hawaii was able to take the doubles point of the match with wins on Courts 1 and 3. James Watt and Boris Reckow formed the Gaels' top tandem and were narrowly edged by Ilagan/Labrunie in a tiebreaker.

Saint Mary's did earn two wins on the singles courts to round out the day. Karlo Divkovic battled through two close sets but ultimately came out on top in both, 6-4, 7-6(7) as the No. 2 seed for SMC. On Court 5, Matis Bot picked up a straight set win 6-3, 6-4 one day after clinching the Gaels' victory against Hawaii Pacific.

Saint Mary's next scheduled match is currently listed for this Saturday on the road against UC Davis. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m.
