SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Saint Mary's Track is attending an event hosted by San Francisco State University, the Mike Fanelli Classic on Friday April 1st through Saturday April 2nd. Just a few members of Saint Mary's Track & Field will be at Stanford to represent the Gaels at the Stanford Invitational occurring on the same two days.

LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's Track made history at the Cal Poly Invitational last weekend as they sent their largest group of student-athletes (over 40) to compete in San Luis Obispo. Rayna Stanziano made her mark in yet another race this season. Her time of 4:23.69 in the 1500m not only earned her the winning title at the Cal Poly Invitational, but she now owns the four fastest 1500m times in SMC history and has earned Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week. Stanziano, along with four other Gaels on the women's side, set personal records at this meet. 

The wins did not stop there for Saint Mary's Track. The Gaels also found success on the men's side in San Luis Obispo. Saint Mary's stole the show in the 5000m as three different Gaels placed in the top three within this race. Chandler Maciel led the way with his time of 14:55.97, followed by Sebastian Andersson at 14:55.97 and Muhammed Ahmed at 14:56.87. Derek D'Amelia piles onto the wins with his 1500m time of 4:05.09, earning him the title of winner within his heat. j
