MORAGA, Calif. — After leading the Gaels to an 89-55 victory over Davidson this past Friday, Alex Ducas has been named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week. This is the third time that Ducas has been tabbed with this honor, doing so twice last season. 

Alex Ducas found his stroke against the Davidson Wildcats on Black Friday. The fifth year sharpshooter set a career-high with seven made threes, leading all scorers with 23 points in the victory. Ducas shot a stellar 63.6% from beyond the arc, bringing his season total to a solid 43.8%. He also tied his career-high with five assists, and came up with a season-best two steals. 

Ducas and the Gaels will take on Utah tonight, before heading to Idaho Falls for a neutral site matchup with Boise State. These should both be good early tests for the Gaels, who look to pull back above 0.500 this week.
