WCC Launches Points In The Paint Weekly Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball Podcasts

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is launching "WCC POINTS IN THE PAINT" weekly men's basketball and women's basketball podcasts that will provide comprehensive coverage of the Conference with in-depth analysis and appearances from high-profile guests sharing their stories and showcasing upcoming matchups. The first episode of each podcast will debut over the next week. 
 
The WCC POINTS IN THE PAINT Women's Basketball Podcast will make its debut this Friday, Dec. 27. With this week's schedule featuring games on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Monday, Dec. 30, episode two will be published on Thursday, Jan. 2. All new episodes will come out on Wednesdays each week, ahead of the WCC's Thursday-Saturday conference slate of games.
 
The WCC POINTS IN THE PAINT Men's Basketball Podcast will debut on Thursday, Jan. 2. New episodes will be published on Tuesdays, ahead of the WCC's weekly slate of games, which range from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the week and each Saturday.
  
Each episode of WCC POINTS IN THE PAINT will break down the previous week's action and provide an in-depth analysis of the games ahead in the march towards the 2025 Credit Union 1 WCC Basketball Championship at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas from March 6-11. Featured guests will join the podcasts throughout the season to talk #WCChoops and share their experiences.
 
Full episodes of both the WCC POINTS IN THE PAINT Men's Basketball Podcast and Women's Basketball Podcast will be available on the WCC's YouTube channel, as well as Apple and Spotify podcasts. Fans can also find clips of each show on the WCC basketball X account, @WCChoops, as well as the Conference's Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channels and @WCCsports with links to the full episode.
 
The WCC has been a multi-bid conference in both the NCAA men's basketball and women's basketball tournaments in each of the last five events. At least two WCC men's teams have earned an NCAA berth in 10 of the last 12 tournaments played. Of the nine WCC men's teams that received an NCAA bid over the past four seasons, eight of those teams earned a No. 6 seed or better. A WCC men's team has advanced to at least the NCAA Sweet 16 in each of the last nine tournaments, including two Final Four appearances. At least two WCC women's teams have earned an NCAA berth in eight of the last 10 tournaments played. At least one WCC women's team has advanced in the NCAA Tournament in four of the last five events, highlighted by fourth-seeded Gonzaga's run to the NCAA Sweet 16 last season.
