SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The start of the Spring rowing season is just around the corner, and Saint Mary's has a pair of student-athletes who have been tabbed as preseason all-conference honorees. Sophomore

Hathaway Scarpine were the two Gael honorees, after both earned all-conference nods a season ago.
Hathaway Scarpine served as the Gaels stroke on their varsity 8+ boat, while Katelyn Roberton rowed in the six seat. Roberton also served as the stroke for the Gaels novice 4+ boat. Both played major roles in leading the Gaels to a tie for third place at the WCC Championship a year ago.
With the additions of Washington State, Oregon State and Sacramento State, and the subtraction of LMU, the WCC has now gone to a nine team rowing conference. Aftering finishing tied for third a year ago, the Gaels were picked to finish sixth in this year's preseason poll. Here is a look at the final voting for that poll:
