Moraga, CA- The Saint Mary's men's tennis team fell to visiting University of Pacific 5-2 on Sunday. The Gaels were only able to win one doubles match and two singles matches on the afternoon. With the loss the Gaels drop to 4-6 while the Tigers improve to 6-4 on the season.

In singles action, the Gaels were able to record victories at the #3 and #5 positions. At the #3 position,Saint Mary's Andre Sion defeated Pacific's Niclas Otte 6-2, 6-4. The Gaels recorded their other victory at the #5 position. The Gaels' Vincent LeBorgne beat Tyler Black 7-6 (9), 2-6, 1-0 (6).

In the other singles matches Saint Mary's #1 player Rafael Lopez fell to Lennart Maack 6-0, 6-1. At the #2 position, fighting an elbow injury, Martin Marechal fell to Pacific's Arnar Sigurdsson 6-1, 6-3. At the #4 position Adam Fauvre lost his match to Vladimir Zdravkovic 6-3, 6-3 and J.J. Whitlinger fell to Alan Kelly 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles action the Gaels' lone win came at the #3 position. The Saint Mary's tandem of Marechal and Sion defeated Hall and Kelly 8-1. At the #1 position, LeBorgne and Whitlinger fell to Maack and Sigurdsson 8-1 and the duo of Fauvre and Lopez dropped their match to Otte and Zdravkovic 8-6.

Saint Mary's (4-6) returns to action on Tuesday, March 9 when it hosts Gonzaga at the Korth Tennis Complex at 12:00 PM on the Saint Mary's campus.
