The Saint Mary's College athletic department has several student employment positions for SMC students interested in working in sports. Students can obtain resume-building experience in sports marketing, promotions, ticket sales and communications.
Students in these positions generally interact with fans and the public and must display professionalism, friendliness and have an enthusiastic attitude for promoting SMC Gaels athletic events.
Marketing/Promotion interns will gain valuable hands on experience in sports marketing and fan development and will learn the behind-the-scenes of a collegiate athletic event. Students work extensively to promote SMC ticketed sports through with an outcome to improve attendance and game day fan experience, as well as to generate revenue through ticket sales.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Full-time student at Saint Mary's College
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and school breaks
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Career interest in sports marketing, communications or business preferred

GAME DAY PA ANNOUNCER
An Athletic Game Day Public Address Announcer is responsible for announcing at home athletic events. The PA Announcer is the voice of Saint Mary's Athletics. PA Announcers duties include announcing starting line-ups, game actions, public address announcements, contest and any other duties assigned.

GAME DAY SOUND PRODUCER
(SMC STUDENTS ONLY)
The Game Day Sound Producer is responsible for creating a fun and energetic atmosphere by playing music on game day. The Game Day Sound Producer will work closely with the SMC athletics marketing staff to create music playlists for before, during and after events. Occasionally producing computer programs and an assortment of other tactile objects or musical instruments to create customized sound effects.

GAME DAY CREW MEMBER

Game Day Crew Member is responsible for implementing and executing athletic promotions at athletic home events. A Game Day Crew Members' duties are to enhance the game day experience for fans, manage lobby promotional table, work with Gael Force Executive Team to execute student promotions and events and any other promotional duties assigned.

GAEL MASCOT

Mascot responsibilities are to perform as the "Gael" during athletic and community events. Primary duties are to be friendly and outgoing, create and perform game entertainment while effectively communicating through body gestures.
