At Saint Mary's: Making large improvements year-to-year while still learning the sport...should see continued personal bests early in the fall season.
2010 (Sophomore): Set new 8K personal best at Bronco Invitational with a time of 27:24, an improvement of 1:30 from 2009...finished WCC Championships in 28:49 for 49th place, a one minute improvement from his freshman year...ran 16:32 for 5K on the track at the Kim Dyst Invitational.
2009 (Freshman): Made his debut as a Gael at the Hornet Jamboree (4mi), coming in sixth for SMC with a time of 23:47...ran a season best 8K time of 28:54 at the Doc Adams Invitational...made his WCC Championship debut finishing with a time of 29:48 in the 8K event.
High School: Comes to Saint Mary's by way of North Salinas High School in Salinas, CA...earned eight varsity letters for the Vikings...named All Tri-County Athletic League his senior year...named MVP, Most Dedicated, Most Inspirational and Team Captain.
Personal: Born Antonio Venegas...chose Saint Mary's because of the class sizes, challenging courses, and the ability to participate in Division I athletics...currently majoring in Politics.
