Summer Camps

Tradition of Excellence
The year 2010 will mark the 41st year that Saint Mary's College will be offering outstanding Athletic Summer Camps to children between the ages of 6-18. Saint Mary's was one of the first institutions in Northern California to offer resident or day camps specializing in athletics. Over the years, camper enrollment has increased dramatically from its 1970 enrollment of 200 campers to this year's expected registration of over 2,500 campers.

New and Improved Camp Structure
Listening to the feedback we have received from our campers and their parents we are offering a wider variety of camp opportunities. We will continue to have our Traditional Camps starting on Sundays and ending Thursdays but we have added several clinics and specialty camps with different schedules to better accommodate your needs. Please click on your preferred sport to see the options and choose the camp that best fits your needs. Please note: we have also changed the end time for our traditional camp to 12:00pm rather than 2:30pm on Thursdays in order to help accommodate family schedules. We have also added early bird and extended care options.

Quality Housing and Meals
Nestled in the plush Moraga Valley, Saint Mary's College is one of the most picturesque campuses on the West Coast. Resident campers will live like college students, with a roommate, in spacious resident halls. These accommodations will be complemented by delicious meals served by Sodexho Services. This distinguished food service provides a buffet with a variety of healthy and nutritious foods.

MORE INFORMATION

First-Rate Facilities
There are numerous first-rate, NCAA Division I athletic facilities found on campus. All campers will use the same courts, diamonds, and playing fields that the Saint Mary's collegiate athletes use throughout the year.
Convenient Location
Children attending the Saint Mary's College Athletic Summer Camps have the luxury of having an overnight camp right in their own backyard. The resident camp program has accommodated many "first time away from home" campers. Parents are encouraged to write, phone, and visit children during their stay.
Variety of Sports
Saint Mary's College Athletic Summer Camps offer a variety of programs to choose from. The schedule includes All-Sports, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball camps. We also have a number of specialty camps and clinics including Father-Son Basketball Camps and a Mother-Daughter Basketball Camps.
Outstanding Staff
Saint Mary's College is very fortunate to have some of the finest collegiate coaches in the area. Each head coach selects and trains his/her own staff of top level coaches and collegiate players. All staff members have been interviewed and chosen because of their enthusiasm to work with children and their extensive knowledge of their sport. In addition, campers will also get the opportunity to meet many collegiate student-athletes who have been invited to share their personal Saint Mary's experiences.

H1N1 Information:

Saint Mary's College Summer Sports Camps are committed to providing your child with an outstanding experience in any camp they attend. In consideration of the health of all the participants, we ask that you limit your child from participating in a camp if they are ill immediately prior to the start of the camp.

In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that people experiencing flu-like symptoms (high fever, sore throat, nausea, diarrhea) remain home until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours.

At registration, the camp staff will be asking families if your participant has either been exposed to someone with flu-like symptoms or has had flu within the last seven days. If the camper develops symptoms of illness or flu during their time at the camp, our Athletic trainer will call the camper's parents.

If you have any questions about this information, please don't hesitate to give our Saint Mary's Athletic Trainers a call at (925) 631-4398.

Thank you!
