AS A SENIOR (2015-16)
Track: Competed in the 800m, 1,500m and 5,000m distances for Saint Mary's in his final season as a Gael … Finished in 1:58.16 in the 800m at the West Coast Last Chance Meet on May 13 … Ran his first 1,500m of the season at the Aggie Open on March 11, finishing in 4:10.62, but was able to drastically improve his time, finishing in 3:54.27 at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 14.
Cross Country: Did not compete.
AS A JUNIOR (2014-15)
Track: Rebounded and had a solid track season improving in the 800m, 1500m, and 5000m … Ran 1:58 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival ... Best performance was in the 1500m running a time of 3:55.69 at the Mt.Sac Relays … Improved 5000m time by 16 seconds running 15:07 at the Chico State Distance Carnival.
Cross Country: Battled injury throughout XC season, ended up running 25:35 in the 8K at the Bronco Invitational.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2013-14)
AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13)
Track: Injury-shortened first T&F season for the Gaels … Best performance came at the Johnny Mathis Invitational where he ran 15:23.74 for 5K, finishing 11th overall … Came in second at the SFSU Distance Carnival for two miles (9:40.20).
Cross Country: Very impressive freshman year considering he turned 17 at the beginning of the season ... Raced in the top five for the Gaels in every varsity race ... Fastest race came at the Bronco Invitational (25:39) ... Had a strong performance at the WCC Championships (25:43) to finish 43rd, the fifth freshman in the race.
PRIOR TO SAINT MAR'YS: Comes to Saint Mary's from Redlands High School in Redlands, CA ... Two time All-Citrus Belt League in cross country...2011 Citrus Belt League cross country champion (15:46 - Yucaipa HS) ... Placed seventh in the Varsity D1 Blue race at the Mt. SAC Invitational (16:01) and second in the Senior Blue race at the Woodbridge Classic (14:56) ... pPaced third (junior - 4:24.25) and second (senior - 4:29.57) in the Citrus Belt track & field championships 1600m ... High school bests include 4:24.25 (1600m), 9:56 (3200m), and 14:56 (3 mile XC).
PERSONAL: David wants to become a certified physical therapist and currently he is working with the Kinesiology department in an independent study involving peppermint … He is an avid outdoors man who loves hiking and fishing.
