STOCKTON, Calif. -- With a reshuffled lineup due to injuries and a rapidly improving opponent in Pacific, the Saint Mary's sand volleyball team fell 4-1 to the Tigers in Stockton on Saturday.
Frannie Cormier and Natalie Loos claimed the No. 9-ranked Gaels' lone win of the day, as the duo won 25-21, 25-13 over Megan Birch and Mia Feiner at No. 4.
Two other matches went to three sets, but Pacific improved to 5-4 on the season with strong play throughout the lineup. Saint Mary's is now 7-2 with one match to go.
The Gaels will host their final match of the season against USF on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Moraga Commons. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to attend.
