AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17)
Track:
Cross Country: Consistently packed well among top seven runners in second season with Gaels … Best time came at Stanford Invitational on Oct. 1 where he came in 24:49.50 in 55th … Came in 26:48.9 in 58th at West Coast Conference Championships on Oct. 28 … Finished 142nd in 32:40.9 at the NCAA West Regionals on Nov. 11.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16)
Track: In his first season at Saint Mary's, competed in the 3,000m, 5,000m and 10,000m distances … Ran his first 5,000m in 16:24.57 at the Hornet Invitational on March 18 but was able to shave off almost a whole minute finishing in 15:28.27 at the West Coast Last Chance Meet on May 13 for a new personal record … Opened his season at the Aggie Open on March 11 finishing in 9:05.15 in the 3,000m … Finished in 33:08.29 in the 10,000m of the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on April 1.
Cross Country: In his first race of the season, ran the San Francisco Invitational in 26 minutes, 26.9 seconds helping the Gaels to a third place finish … Finished in 25:21.6 at the 8-kilometer Bronco Invitational setting a season record for this distance … Finished 58th at the 8 km West Coast Conference Championships in 27:31.8 … Finished 131st in 33:56.3 at the 10 km NCAA West Regionals for a season record for this distance.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Labdie set a personal best at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 15:50 and nearly matched the effort at the Clovis Invite (Woodward Park) later in the year, crossing the 5k finish line in 15:51.
PERSONAL: Labdie chose SMC for the quality of education, the school's religious ties, and all of the great running locations Moraga and the surrounding communities have to offer … In terms of running, he wants to help Saint Mary's cross country and track team continue to build into a successful competitive program … In terms of school, he wants to graduate with a degree in Business-finance and begin a successful career with a company in the Bay Area … He also has a twin sister, Jourdyn, who attends University of Nevada Reno.
