AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17)
Cross Country: Competed in all races and packed well for the Gaels … Ran her best time of 21:37.6 at Bronco Invitational where she came in 36th Oct. 15 … Finished 58th in the West Coast Conference Championships in 24:04.6 on Oct. 28.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16)
Track: Competed in the 1,500m, 3,000m and 5,000m races as a Sophomore for Saint Mary's … Ran the 1,500m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on April 1 in 5:01.47 and was still able to improve, finishing the 1,500m at the West Coast Last Chance Meet on May 13 in 4:59.51 … Opened her season at the Aggie Open finishing the 3,000m in 11:40.61.
Cross Country: In her first race at Saint Mary's, finished the 5 km San Francisco Invitational in 47th place in 19 minutes, 54.9 seconds … Finished the 5 km Capital Cross Challenge in 19:31.9 for a season best for this distance… With a time of 24:07, recorded a season record for this distance at the 6 km Bronco Invitational … Finished the 6 km NCAA West Regionals in 25:26.8.
PERSONAL: Neylene picked Saint Mary's because it's a school that allows her to receive a quality education, while still being able to pursue her career as a runner … Her favorite drink of all time is hot chocolate.
