
LAX | Gaels Drop Match at San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Saint Mary's lacrosse played solid defense, but eventually dropped a 16-5 decision to San Diego State (6-3, 1-1 MPSF) at Aztec Lacrosse Field Friday evening.
Emily Mack led the Gaels with two goals. The junior now has 12 goals on the season for the third most on the team.
First year player Jillian Dunlap scored her 13th goal of the season for the Gaels. Jillian Dunlap and Meagan Bennett notched the other two scores for SMC.
Sydney Pinello started and finished the game in goal for Saint Mary's, recording an impressive 12 saves and two ground balls.
The Gaels will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, as the team will host Saint Francis at 12 p.m.
