WOODLAND, Calif. — The Saint Mary's lacrosse team continues to shine in the classroom, as the team had 12 student-athletes honored with All-Academic recognition by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, it was announced.

Saint Mary's had the second most honorees out of the nine teams in the MPSF. The Gaels are represented by Anna Marie Carmazzi (3.00), Meagan Bennett (3.48), Hanna Dalrymple (3.52), Claire Healy (3.29), Molly Kuptz (3.68), Jocelyn Lubert (3.67), Lauren Neumann (3.26), Sydney Pinello (3.31), Kiki Tanaka (3.50), Colleen O'Connor (3.31), Megan Zummo (3.23) and Emily Mack (3.36).

The Gaels had an impressive number of eight seniors named with the honor. Of the class, Kuptz represented the highest cumulative GPA with her 3.68. Four juniors received the award, headlined by Lubert's 3.67 GPA.

SMC won its first contest since April 2014 earlier this season with a 16-11 victory at Butler. Lubert led the Gaels attack with a solid 31 goals - the most goals in a single season since Jillian Chong scored 31 in 2013.

The MPSF honors deserving women's lacrosse student-athletes at the conclusion of each season for their success in the classroom. Those selected meet the criteria of achieving a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, completing at least one full academic year at the institution, classifying as at least a sophomore academically and competing in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
