Ford Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Jordan Ford scored 58 points across two games this week to earn the MMSAOTW Award.
MORAGA, Calif. — After leading the Saint Mary's men's basketball team to a 2-0 start to begin the season, Jordan Ford has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 5-11.
In the Gaels' season opener, Ford put up 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting while also dishing out five assists as the team's point guard. Yesterday against Utah Valley, the Folsom, Calif. native had a career night as he posted a personal-best 35 points and four steals in SMC's 92-63 blowout of the Wolverines.
With 58 points through the first two games, Ford ranks eighth in the nation in total points and is tied for fifth among players who have played two or fewer games. The 6-1 junior is 5-for-10 from beyond the arc and 13-of-14 from the charity stripe. He also leads the team with six steals and eight assists and has committed only one turnover in 68 minutes of play thus far.
Saint Mary's will go on the road for the first year this year as they play New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M on Wednesday. More information on the contest can be found on the Gaels' schedule page.
