MBB | Gaels To Appear on ESPN 12 Times This Season

The Saint Mary's men's basketball program will be a frequent guest on the ESPN family of networks in 2019-20 with at least 12 appearances already set.

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's men's basketball will appear on the ESPN family of networks a total of 12 times in the upcoming season as confirmed by the West Coast Conference office today.

The Gaels' national coverage spans the entire 2019-20 campaign beginning with the team's season opener against Wisconsin on Nov. 5 and finishing with the last contest of the regular season on the road at Gonzaga on Feb. 29.

Saint Mary's will have seven of their 16 WCC games shown on an ESPN channel including both home-and-away matchups against Gonzaga and BYU. Four of the team's five neutral site games will also be covered by ESPN.

ESPN trucks will be parked behind McKeon Pavilion four times this season. Besides the matchups against Gonzaga and BYU, the network will also cover home games against Utah State on Nov. 29 and Santa Clara on Jan. 11.

In addition, the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Championship will also be featured on ESPN with five live telecasts from Las Vegas: two quarterfinal games (Saturday, March 7, ESPN2), the WCC semifinals (Monday, March 9, ESPN or ESPN2) and the championship game on Tuesday, March 10 (ESPN).

The Saint Mary's ticket office has now begun selling single game tickets as low as $20 in general admission areas. Gael fans can get a first look at the 2019-20 team this Saturday at the annual Blue-White Scrimmage in McKeon Pavilion. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with doors opening half an hour prior. Admission to the event is free.
