ROW | Gaels Earn Two First Place Finishes at Head of the Lagoon

MORAGA, Calif. – The Gaels shined on Saturday at the Head of the Lagoon race as they took first place in the collegiate eight race as well as first and second place in the collegiate four race.

First up for Saint Mary's was the collegiate four boats who raced first thing in the morning. SMC earned first place with a race time of 21:14.5, followed closely by the second Gael boat who earned the number two spot with a 22:11.6 finish. Next up was the collegiate novice four boat who raced a 27:49.4 time and earned ninth place. Last but not least was the collegiate eight race in which Saint Mary's also claimed first place with a 19:52.4 finish time, eight seconds ahead of their competition.

Saint Mary's will return for their spring season in late February with a race scheduled at UC Davis .
