MBB | Ford Grabs Second WCC Player of the Week Honor

SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Jordan Ford was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week today by the conference office after leading the Gaels to a win over East Bay rival California on Saturday.
Ford scored 32 points against the Golden Bears and was efficient in all manners of shooting as he went 10-for-14 from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 10-of-11 at the free throw line. The senior guard came alive in the second half, notching 25 of those points in the final 20 minutes en route to his second-most points ever in a game.
Ford also grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists to boot in 35 minutes of play.
The POTW award is the second Ford has earned this season after receiving the inaugural honor following his 26-point showing against Wisconsin.
Saint Mary's returns to action on Wednesday in a neutral site battle with Arizona State at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The game tips off at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
