TRK | Gaels Open Outdoor Season at West Coast Invitational This Week

MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary's men's and women's Track & Field Teams will open their 2019 outdoor track season at the West Coast Invitational on Saturday.
A number of Gaels put up impressive numbers two weeks ago at the Bronco Challenge Indoor meet. Ellen Burbank had a great leg of the Distance Medley Relay, closing the gap from seventh to second place. Furthermore, her 5:32.38 in the mile was the fastest of the day on the women's side. Both Abby Bolt and Kaela Dishion impressed in the 3,000-meter race while Bolt placed seventh with a 10:08.40. Anthony Vazquez competed well in his leg of the DMR and then ran even faster in the open 800 later on. Also in the DMR, Nolan Dozier cut the deficit from seventh to fourth and his 3K race was one of the fastest of the meet as his 8:32.60 landed him in fifth-place. Furthermore, Jake Echsner placed second for the Gaels in the 800m (21st – 2:02.12) and 20th in the mile (4:33.21).
