MORAGA, Calif. - Ty Madrigal will return for for a fifth year in 2020.
Madrigal has made 70 appearances for the Gaels (60 in relief), compiling a career, 3.80 ERA. His best season came in 2018 when he posted a 1.90 ERA, tossing 47.1 innings in 22 appearances and amassing 54 strikeouts to just 19 walks.
In 2019, the lefty made just six appearances before being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Madrigal will be one of just two players (also Matt Green) remaining from the Gaels' WCC Championship run in 2016.
