XC | Gaels To Compete at Capital Cross Challenge This Week

MORAGA, Calif. – The Gaels hit the road this week but remain close to home as they will visit Sacramento for the Capital Cross Challenge.

Last time out, the Gael freshmen posted impressive finishes at the Stump Invite. For the women, freshman Rayna Stanziano nabbed the top spot for the Gaels as she recorded a 13th place finish with a race time of 22:36.0, which earned her Saint Mary's Student Athlete of the Week. Sophomore Abigayle Mitchell finished just behind her teammate in 14th place (22:37.6) For the men, freshman Lucas Chung was the top-finisher in 18th place with a race time of 25:52.0 while sophomore Anthony Vazquez was close behind in 22nd place (26:01.2).
