Fotu Named Saint Mary's Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Men's basketball sophomore Dan Fotu has been named the Saint Mary's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Feb. 17-23 for his impressive performance against the Pacific Tigers.
Dan Fotu had one of the best games of his young career on Saturday as he led Saint Mary's past Pacific to allow the Gaels to take sole possession of third place in the WCC standings.
The Kiwi had his first career double-double as he scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Fotu was 7-for-10 on shooting and knocked down a pair of free throws in 35 minutes of action. He also dished out two assists out of the post.
Saint Mary's will host their final two home contests of the regular season this week as they will take on Loyola Marymount on Thursday at 8 p.m. before facing off against San Diego on Saturday at 5 p.m.
