Ford Tabbed as Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Jordan Ford has been named the Saint Mary's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Mar. 9 to Mar. 15 for an epic performance at this year's West Coast Conference Tournament.
After scoring 42 points in a double overtime win over Pepperdine, Ford continued his magic in the semifinals and finals of the tournament.
Against BYU on Monday, Ford tallied 18 points and grabbed four rebounds. He scored seven buckets on 15 tries and had the biggest shot of the game in the final two seconds as his pull-up jumper from midrange put SMC up 51-50 with 1.4 seconds to play.
In the championship versus No. 3 Gonzaga, the senior posted a game-high 27 points while impressively making all 11 tries at the free throw line. He also had four assists while playing all 40 minutes.
All told, Ford scored 87 points across three games in Las Vegas to bring his career scoring total to 1,929. He ends his Saint Mary's career second all-time in scoring and just four points back of Matthew Dellavedova's 1,933 total.
