Johnson Selected as This Week's Bay Alarm SAOTW

MORAGA, Calif. — Logan Johnson from men's basketball has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week for helping the Gaels earn two road wins last week against Loyola Marymount and San Francisco.
Against the Lions on Thursday, Johnson scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, had a team-best five assists, and had three steals on defense as SMC won 65-61. On Saturday on the Hilltop, the junior exploded for 20 points while going 10-of-15 from the floor, added three more assists, grabbed four rebounds, and had a block in another 4-point win for the Gaels.
All told, Johnson averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 37.0 minutes, and shot 64 percent overall in the two games.
Saint Mary's returns to Moraga to face Portland on Thursday at 8 p.m. The game can be watched live on NBC Sports California.
