ABOUT SOUTHERN UTAH
The Thunderbirds are a strong team out the Big Sky Conference, winning 20 games last year and losing just four. They began the 2021 season in a big way, scoring 116 points against Bethesda University in a 116-74 win. Their most recent contest was a road loss to Dixie State, falling 83-76 on Friday night. They are preseason favorites to repeat as Big Sky champions, and also have a star in Tevian Jones, who was named the preseason Big Sky MVP, the first Thunderbird in history to hold that distinction.

ABOUT BELLARMINE
Members of the ASUN, Bellarmine enjoyed a successful 2020-21 season, finishing second in the conference with a record of 14-8 and 10-3 in conference play. They were upset in the first round of the conference tournament before ending their season in the second round of the College Basketball Invitational, losing to Pepperdine. The Knights were third in the country in field goal percentage one season ago, and they run their offense in such a way that passing is preferred over dribbling. It hasn't been as successful this season, losing their first two games to No. 7 Purdue and Murray State while failing to break 70 points.
