SAN MATEO, Calif. — For the second time in as many seasons, Tommy Kuhse has been named to the WCC All-Academic team. This year's announcement comes several weeks following the conclusion of the men's basketball season and features some of the best players from the West Coast Conference, including Kuhse.
 
Tommy Kuhse began the season by being placed on scholarship over the summer, setting the stage for one his best seasons in Moraga. He started all 24 games and was second in the West Coast Conference in minutes played per game (35.8), while also ranking second in assists per game (5.0) and fourth in assist-turnover ratio (2.1). He enjoyed breakout success early in the season when he lit up Eastern Washington for 34 points on 14-23 shooting on December 15, helping the Gaels erase a second-half deficit to storm back and win the game. Kuhse holds a 3.61 grade point average as a Business Administration graduate student.
 
To be considered for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
