MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis battle to the final two matches before the Bucknell Bison took the head-to-head match 4-3.
 
The Gaels finally took the court again after the Golden Gate Invitational was canceled due to rain, making a February 18 match at BYU the last time SMC had played. Today's match was a recent addition to the schedule, just added on March 3.
 
The Bison took the doubles point despite a win for the tandem of Diego Jarry and Caelan Potts, but they got off to a great start in the singles competition.
 
James Watt won in two sets in the first spot, defeating Harrison Gold 6-4, 6-3. Bucknell would take the lead back, but Carlos Ramos Membrives also won in two sets, winning his match in the fourth spot 6-3, 6-2.
 
The Bison led 3-2 when one of the best battles of the day would decide the match. Diego Jarry went back and forth with Amar Tahirovic in the second spot with both sets going down to a 7-6 final.
 
Caelan Potts would get a win in three sets to round out the afternoon though the outcome was decided.
