MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis out lasted Gonzaga on Saturday afternoon in their home final, winning 4-2 to gain the tiebreaker over the Zags in the
WCC standings.
The win moved the Gaels to 4-4 in WCC play, good for the sixth spot in the WCC tournament as it stands with one match left to play for SMC.

LMU is just ahead of the Gaels in the five spot and they still have three matches left to play this season, including top seed San Diego on Sunday, April 16, USF on the 22nd, and three-seed Santa Clara on the 23rd. SMC will wrap up the regular season at San Diego on the 23rd.

Gonzaga took the doubles point to start things off on Saturday, but the Gaels take over from there. Saint Mary's would get out in front 2-1 with two quick wins from
Pierre Lieutaud and
Carlos Ramos Membrives.

The freshman Lieutad won 6-0, 6-3 and is now 3-0 in WCC play. Ramos Membrives took his match 6-2, 7-5 and is now 4-2 in conference play.

The Zags would get a win in the one position with Sasha Trkulja edging
James Watt in three sets. But the Gaels would pour it on from there to get the win.

Mathis Moysan won the final two sets versus Tom Hann 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, before
Diego Jarry clinched the victory with a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over Oliver Andersson.
