XC | Men Finish 12th in the Bill Dellinger Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Ore - SMC competed in the Bill Dellinger Invitational Friday morning, where the men finished 12th out of 14.
Blaine Reynolds, the Gaels top finisher at the 2022 WCC Championship, competed in his first race of the season. Reynolds remained consistent throughout the race, finishing 55th with a time of 24:50.4. Closely behind Reynolds was Cayden Hein who finished 58th with a time of 24:51.5. Curtis Volf rounded out the top-three Gael runners, finishing 69th overall with a time of 25:03.3.
Luke Bland, who finished in 97th, remained consistent throughout the race finishing a little over 30 seconds behind Volf with a time of 25:35.4. SMC had a pair of Gaels finishing right behind each other, with Aidan Donovan and Troy Coulston taking up the 101st and 102nd spots. Both Donovan and Coulston jumped 19 spots from their 3K places, as Donovan finished with a time of 25:46.0 and Coulston finished with a time of 25:47.6.
Cal Poly took home the Dellinger title, as did their runner Davis Bove. Saint Mary's WCC foe Portland finished in the middle of the pack, taking sixth place in the 14 team field.

The Gaels will compete at the Pacific invite next Friday, September 29th. Both men and women will compete.
