TRK | The Men Gained Experience on First Meet of the Season

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Men's Track and Field Team competed in their first meet of the season at the University of Washington.

Multiple men competed in the 1 Mile Run where many hit their bests at the University of Washington. Saint Mary's Blaine Reynold was the first Gael to finish and beat his best time by 3.88 seconds. Reynolds finished in 30th with a time of 4:15.72. Curtis Volf finished nine spots behind Reynolds with a time of 4:18.96, his best by 1.37 seconds. With a time of 4:24.41 and 12 spots beyond Volf, the freshman Alexandro Alvarez made his SMC debut. Also competing for the first time as a Gael was Freshman Diego Uridales with a time of 4:26.60, good for 55th. Right behind Uridales in 56th is Payton Fox with a time of 4:27.18.

Three men competed in the 1K run. The first Gael to finish was Jason Habash in 19th with a time of 2:30.15. Only four spots behind him was sophomore Noah Pagaran with a time of 2:35.20. Trailing Pagaran was Eric Martinez in 24th with a time of 2:37.18.

There was only one Gael to compete in the 600m run. Freshman Spencer Wirshing also made his SMC debut where he finished 6th with a time of 1:22.42.

Sophomore Francisco Felix finished first for the Gaels in the 3K with a time of 8:39.39 and finished in 63rdoverall. Nine spots behind Felix was the freshman Jacob Moffett finishing with a time of 8:51.37. Taking up 80th to 82nd were Gaels Aidan Donovan with a time of 9:01.71, Troy Coulston at 9:12.14, and Angel Castro at 9:14.77.
