Big Scoring Week Earns Aidan Mahaney Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Sophomore guard Aidan Mahaney put together a stellar scoring week, earning a pair of wins for the Gaels, and, as such, has been named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student Athlete of the Week. Despite an illustrious career, this is Mahaney's first ever Student-Athlete of the Week honor.

Aidan has put together some excellent weeks in his career, but this past week may take the cake. The Lafayette native opened his week by matching his career-high of 25 points for the third time this season in a 95-52 rout of Portland. Aidan followed up that showing with an 18 point outpouring in the Gaels road victory over rival Santa Clara. The 43 points were the second best in Aidan's career over a two game stretch, bested only by when he scored 46 against LMU and San Francisco between 1/12 and 1/14 of 2023. He shot 56% from the field and 64% from three.

Aidan and the Gaels will matchup with San Francisco on Saturday in a battle between the final two unbeaten teams in WCC play. Tip off is set for 7 PM in San Francisco on 1/20.
