MBB | Gaels Will Spend Thanksgiving 2026 in San Diego for Rady Children’s Invitational MTE

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — While the 2025-26 men's basketball campaign is just underway, it is never too early to start planning for 2026-27, as the Gaels have just been announced alongside Georgetown, Texas and UCLA as the participants in the 2026 Rady Children's Invitational, taking place November 26 and 27 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego.
The stacked field in this MTE features four teams that have combined to play in 137 NCAA Tournaments, and won 12 combined National Titles. Played in familiar territory on the campus of the University of San Diego at the Jenny Craig Pavilion, the Gaels could be considered a de facto home team, playing in this arena every season of conference play, despite UCLA being closer to the facility by proximity.
The 2026 iteration of the Rady Children's Invitational will be the fourth ever held, and will be the second year that it will be held at Jenny Craig Pavilion, after spending its first two years on the campus of UC San Diego at the LionTree Arena. Former champions include Oklahoma (2023) and Purdue (2024), while the 2025 field will feature defending National Champions Florida, along with TCU, Wisconsin and Providence.
The Gaels have taken part in numerous highly renowned MTEs in recent history, including the 2020 Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic, the 2021 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, the 2022 Paycom Wooden Legacy, the 2023 Continental Tires Main Event, the 2024 Acrisure Classic and, upcoming, the 2025 Battle 4 Atlantis.
