MXC | Gaels Place First Overall, With Zane Jackson Taking Home First

LODI, Calif. - The men took first out of seventh at the Pacific Invite, their highest finish since 2020. The Gaels had four runners making the top 10 and six making the top 15.
Zane Jackson earned the overall first place slot with a time of 24:47.5, followed by teammate Felix Francisco who secured third place 8.9 seconds behind him. Eric Martinez took seventh with a time of 25:19.4 and Aidan Donovan finished in ninth trailing Martinez by 11.4 seconds.
The Gaels secured back to back spots with Luke Bland in 13th and Noah Pagaran in 14th, only one second apart from each other. Curtis Volf and Jacob Moffett secured the 17th and 18th spot with times of 24:47.8 and 25:50.6.
Securing three consecutive spots for Saint Mary's were Jason Habash with a time of 25:56.2, Jonathan Velasco finishing 1.1 behind him, and Troy Coulston with a time of 25:59.0.
After an outstanding race, Head Coach Harlan Lopez said "Today was a great team win. We had a race plan to run in small packs going in and although we didn't execute the plan perfectly I feel the team was happy with the performance. Most important right now is the the team is happy and in a good fitness at this point in the season."
