BVB | Gaels Earn 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. — For the third straight season and the fourth time in program history, Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball has earned recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for Academic Achievement. The Gaels were one of 1450 high school and collegiate volleyball programs to maintain at least a 3.3 team GPA throughout the year, thus earning the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award.
In every season that the Gaels have been helmed by program all-time winningest Head Coach Janice Harrer, they have earned this prestigious distinction. This is a testament to the Gael student-athletes hard work and discipline both on and off the sand.
On top of their academic achievement, Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball enjoyed an incredibly successful 2025 campaign, winning a program record 20 matches for just the second time in program history.
