Spillane Sets Indoor Program Record, Named Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Following his first track and field meet of the season, Oisin Spillane has been named this week's Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week after an outstanding performance at the UW Preview. Spillane is the first Gaels Men's Track and Field student-athlete to win this award since Alexnadro Alvarez was honored on Apr. 23, 2025.

Spillane competed in the 3000 meters, finishing seventh overall out of 95 competing runners with a time of 8:14.94. His impressive race not only marked a personal best, but also set a new indoor program record for the Gaels. It was the second fastest 3000m time in program history when combining indoor and outdoor races.

Spillane's performance highlights a strong start to the season as he continues to build momentum early in the year.
