Hannah Ferguson Leads Gaels Offense in Sweep of Montana, Earns Shamrock Office Solution Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's softball team struck for 26 runs in their three game sweep against Montana. Leading those efforts at the top of the order was redshirt junior center fielder Hannah Ferguson. As she has done all year, Ferguson was a menace against opposing pitching, getting on base at an astonishing rate, and, as such, was named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week. Despite her already prolific Gaels softball career, this is Ferguson's first time winning this award.

Ferguson, the Gaels leadoff hitter continues to be a nightmare for opposing pitching, going 6-for-9 at the plate this past week against Montana, with half of her hits being of the extra base variety. Ferguson captured a pair of three baggers this weekend, moving her to second all-time in program history, with 11. She also scored four times, and stole a pair of bases. She finished her week batting .667 with an OPS of 1.949. This season, Ferguson leads the Gaels with a .438 average, 32 hits, six triples, 24 runs scored and 9 stolen bases.
