Braxton Brown Logs Nine Hits, Named Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Softball is off to their best start in program history, at 21-10, and one of their offensive leaders during this historic start has been junior Braxton Brown. Brown ranks second on the team with 33 hits and a .398 batting average, while leading the Gaels with 31 RBI. After another monster weekend against Colorado State and Northern Colorado, Brown has been named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, and third time in her career.

A native of Benicia, California, Brown led all Gaels with nine hits and a .643 batting average over four games this past weekend. Three of Brown's nine hits were of the extra base variety, including a pair of home runs, bringing her team high homer tally to seven. With those seven, Brown is now tied for ninth most in a single season in program history, still with 24 regular season games to go.
