MBB | Four-Year Gael Harry Wessels Signs with San Antonio Spurs Summer League Team
6/26/2026 1:51:00 PM | Men's Basketball
SAN ANTONIO — The Saint Mary's men's basketball program will once again be represented in the NBA Summer League, as 2026 graduate Harry Wessels has signed to play for the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Summer League. 2026 will mark the ninth consecutive season in which the Gaels will be represented in Summer League, with former Gael greats Augustas Marciulionis, Jordan Ford and Jock Landale amongst those appearing on Summer League rosters in recent years.
Wessels spent all four years of his collegiate career in Moraga, appearing in 129 contests in that time. The big man ranks in the top-10 in program history in career field goal percentage (56.3%) and blocked shots (89). Arguably the biggest moment in his Gael career came in his junior season, when he knocked down a pair of free throws against Gonzaga with 50 second left to break a 58-58 stalemate, followed by a block on the ensuing possession to seal the victory over the rival Zags.
The 2026 NBA Summer League will take place from July 9 to 19 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. All games will be broadcast live on ESPN Platforms and Prime Video.
