MBB | Harry Wessels ‘26 Inks One-Year Deal with the Sydney Kings

SYDNEY, Australia — After a four-year career at Saint Mary's and time spent with the San Antonio Spurs' Summer League team, big man Harry Wessels is headed back to his home country of Australia, signing a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL).
Wessels will join fellow Saint Mary's alumnus Matthew Delavedova on Sydney's roster, as the Kings look to repeat as NBL Champions.
Wessels made an impact for the Gaels in all four years in Moraga, earning the starting center role in his senior campaign. The Boddington, West Australia native appeared in 129 games for Saint Mary's, shooting 56.3% from the field (tied for ninth-best in program history) and blocking 89 shots (No. 10 in program history) in his career. He is one of just four Gaels (Luke Barrett, Augustas Marciulionis, Mitchell Saxen) to appear in four different NCAA Tournaments.
Following his time at Saint Mary's, Wessels signed on with the Spurs' Summer League squad. With the Spurs in Summer League, Wessels appeared in four games, including a breakout game against Phoenix, scoring 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting and ripping down nine boards. The Spurs finished out Summer League with a record of 4-1, going unbeaten in the consolation bracket after dropping their opener to Golden State.
