148 Gaels Named to 2025-26 West Coast Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll

SAN BRUNO, Calif. — After a record-breaking 2025-26 athletics year for Saint Mary's, the Gaels demonstrated that their success went beyond the courts and fields and into the classroom, as 148 Gaels were named to the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
The WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll celebrates the hard work of WCC Student-Athletes in the classroom, honoring any student-athlete that earned a varsity letter with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Student-athletes are honored with a gold (4.00 - 3.75), silver (3.74-3.50) or bronze (3.49 - 3.00) designation based on their overall GPA.
Of the Gaels' 148 honorees, 43 earned gold status, 40 earned silver status and 65 earned bronze status. Breaking it down by sport, 30 rowers, 16 baseball players, 14 women's soccer players, 14 softball players, 13 women's cross country runners, 12 men's cross country runners, 11 men's soccer players, 8 women's basketball players, 7 men's tennis players, 6 beach volleyball players, 5 women's tennis players, 5 men's basketball players, 4 volleyball players and 3 golfers were honored. The rowing, baseball, softball, men's cross country, men's basketball and golf programs all saw an increase of student-athletes honored when compared to last year's list. As a department, Saint Mary's Athletics held a 3.344 average cumulative GPA at the culmination of the 2025-26 academic year.
