Josh Sims
Senior Associate AD for Sports Medicine
Josh is entering his fifth year with Saint Mary's after being hired in August 2018. He is responsible for overseeing the entire sports medicine staff and the health and safety of the SMC student-athletes.
His primary sport responsibilities are with men's basketball and golf. Prior to Saint Mary's, Josh worked at Dominican University of California. He also worked at his alma mater, Oregon State University.
Josh attended Oregon State and earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science, Athletic Training. He attended the University of Oklahoma for graduate school where he earned a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration and a Master of Human Relations. During that time he also worked as the athletic trainer with the national champion men's gymnastics program.
Josh lives in Danville with his wife, Jennifer, and two boys, Brody and Carson.

Katie Henderson
Associate Athletic Trainer
Katie, a native of Orinda, Calif., is in her fourth year with Saint Mary's after being hired in January 2019.
She is responsible for Saint Mary's College softball and rowing teams.
Prior to Saint Mary's, Katie worked at Academy of Art University for three years. At Academy of Art, some of her main responsibilities were women's soccer, baseball, women's basketball as well as a wide range of administrative duties.
She established the athletic program's mental health policy as well as revising all sports medicine policies and procedures.
Katie attended Oregon State University and earned a bachelors' degree in athletic training in 2015. Afterwards she attended San Jose State University in 2017 and earned her masters' degree in kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training.
Katie established her love for sports medicine after working closely with her high school's athletic trainer and sports medicine program. She is a member of National Athletic Trainers' Association and lives in San Francisco.

Hubert Higueros
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Hubert enters his second year at Saint Mary's College, as an assistant athletic trainer overseeing women's basketball, men's tennis, and both the cross country/track teams. Prior to SMC, Hubert served as an athletic trainer for two years with The University of Texas, Permian Basin. While at UTPB he served as the athletic trainer for both the basketball teams and cross country/ track teams, as well as assisted with the football team. He has also worked two summer internships with the Raiders organization.
A graduate of The University of La Verne with his bachelor's in athletic training, he is currently pursuing his master's degree. While pursuing his bachelor's degree he served in various student leadership roles in athletic training at state and regional levels.
When Hubert is not working he can be found watching the latest movie in theaters or having fun at game night. Local to Contra Costa County, he grew up in Concord and was a graduate of Ygnacio Valley High School.

Rhiannon Geving
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Rhiannon began her career with Saint Mary's after being hired in January of 2022. She is responsible for baseball and men's soccer. Rhiannon entered Saint Mary's after a year and a half with UC Davis baseball and swim & dive.
She received her Master's of Athletic Training from Oregon State University in 2020. She completed her Bachelor's in Kinesiology from Chapman University where she played softball for 4 years.
Rhiannon grew up in Seattle, Washington where she played travel ball softball and a variety of sports in high school. Growing up in an athletic family and surrounded by family friends working in sports medicine, she was inspired to pursue her career in athletic training.

Sally Elton
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Sally is in her first season with the Gaels after being hired in August of 2022. She oversees Women’s Soccer and Women’s Tennis. Sally comes from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she spent a year with the Cheer and Dance teams. She graduated in 2021 with her Master's of Athletic Training from Oregon State University and completed her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences from Loyola Marymount University in 2018.
As a Bay Area native, Sally is excited to be back in Northern California. She grew up in Marin County, where she played both soccer and basketball. Sally established her love for sports medicine in high school while being under the care of her athletic trainer there.

Nicole White-Madolora
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Nicole White-Madolora begins her first season with Saint Mary's College after being hired in August 2022. As assistant athletic trainer, she works the indoor and beach volleyball programs for the Gaels.
White-Madolora comes to Moraga after spending one season at Fresno State as an athletic training intern, where she worked with the equestrian and women's tennis teams. She has also has experience in the West Coast Conference, as she spent a year as an athletic training student at the University of San Diego (2020- 21).
Having spent a lot of time in SoCal, White-Madolora earned her bachelor's degree at California Lutheran in 2018, and completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2021 from Point Loma Nazarene, where she concurrently worked at Point Loma High as an athletic training student.

Katelyn Watts
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Katelyn Watts joins the Saint Mary's sports medicine team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2023-24 athletic year. She is responsible for the Saint Mary's baseball and golf programs.
Katelyn spent the past three years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Cupertino High School. On top of her typical athletic training duties, Katelyn also helped guide the Cupertino athletic training department through the pandemic, and even developed the Fremont Union High School District COVID-19 policies and procedures for athletic trainers.
Prior to her time at Cupertino, Katelyn served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Texas A&M Kingsville, while enrolled in their Master's of Kinesiology program. There, she served as the lead athletic trainer for the beach volleyball program, as well as an assistant trainer for the football program. During her time in Texas, Katelyn also served as a Contracted Head Athletic Trainer at Santa Gertrudis Acadmey High School.
Watts received a pair of bachelors degrees from Brock University (physical education) and Sheridan College (athletic training). During her time in undergrad, she interned for the Brampton Beast of the ECHL and the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
