LOOKING FORWARD TO FALL 2020
At this time, Saint Mary's is planning to welcome students back to campus and conduct in-person courses this fall. In doing so, we are committed to continuing to follow the best public health practices and local, state, and federal regulations for protecting the health and well-being of our community members. POSTPONEMENT OF FALL ATHLETICS SEMESTER
The West Coast Conference announced on August 13th that fall sports will be postponed until the spring semester. This affects men's and women's soccer, volleyball, cross-country, and rowing but but does impact "low-risk sports" such as tennis and golf from competing in non-conference events. The decision also does not affect either the men's or women's basketball seasons which are slated to begin in early November. The full release can be seen here

CANCELLATION OF SPRING ATHLETICS SEMESTER
On March 12, the West Coast Conference announced the cancellation of all organized athletics-related activities, including regular-season competitions, conference championships and practices, through the remainder of the academic semester. This decision was made in consultation with the league's Presidents, Chancellors and Directors of Athletics to address growing concerns surrounding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

NCAA DIVISION I COUNCIL EXTENDS ELIGIBILITY FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES IMPACTED BY COVID-19
On Mar. 30, the Division I Council voted to allow schools to provide spring-sport student-athletes an additional season of competition and an extension of their period of eligibility. Click here for the full release. Saint Mary’s sports impacted by these changes are baseball, men’s golf, women’s rowing, softball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s outdoor track and women’s outdoor track.
