Clayton Mahloch enters his second year with the Gaels for the 2026–27 season as a Graduate Assistant.
During his first year at Saint Mary's, the Gaels went 27-6, earned a share of the West Coast Conference Regular Season Title as well as a 7 seed in the Gaels 5th straight March Madness appearance. Throughout the season Mahloch handled film preparation and breakdown, offensive statistical analysis, donor relations, and player development programs.
A former standout guard at Clayton Valley Charter High School in Concord, Mahloch went on to complete his undergraduate studies at UCLA. While at UCLA, Mahloch served as the Northern California representative for AOG Events, helping to organize, promote, and scout high-level basketball showcases across the state. His experience on the court and behind the scenes has shaped a well-rounded understanding of the game, especially in the grassroots space.
Mahloch is pursuing a Master's Degree in Sports Management during his time at Saint Mary’s.
