Hubert Higueros joined the Saint Mary's Athletics Sports Medicine staff in October of 2021, serving as the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball and both the cross country/track programs. Prior to SMC, Hubert served as an athletic trainer for two years with The University of Texas, Permian Basin. While at UTPB he served as the athletic trainer for both the basketball teams and cross country/track teams, as well as an assistant athletic trainer for the UTPB football program. He has also brings NFL experience to Moraga with a pair of summer internships with the Oakland Raiders organization.Â
A graduate of The University of La Verne with his bachelor's in athletic training, he is currently pursuing his master's degree. While pursuing his bachelor's degree he served in various student leadership roles in athletic training at state and regional levels.
When Hubert is not working he can be found watching the latest movie in theaters or having fun at game night. Local to Contra Costa County, he grew up in Concord and was a graduate of Ygnacio Valley High School.Â
