Johnson was a decorated college athlete, starting her career at UC Santa Barbara where she played in 53 games over two seasons for the Gauchos. She then transferred to the University of Idaho where she had a breakout season, averaging a career high 14 points and seven rebounds over 32 starts for the Vandals. She went on to be named to the All-Big Sky First Team for her first career all-conference selection. Johnson, originally from Hayward, returned to the Bay Area for her final season and played for head coach Jeff Cammon and the Gaels during the 2024-25 season. Johnson followed up her junior campaign in Idaho with another productive year, playing in 31 games for Saint Mary’s and averaging 12 points and a team best 5.8 rebounds per game. Johnson was named the West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Year and earned All-WCC Honorable Mention status to conclude her collegiate career.
After graduating from Saint Mary’s in 2025, Johnson headed overseas to play for the Hills Hornets in the Australian NBL One league, keeping the Gaels’ Australian connection strong. She played in 18 games during the 2026 season, averaging 13 points while shooting 51% from the field to cap off a successful season debut for the Hornets.
