Ryan Barnett comes to Moraga from Cal State Monterey Bay, where he worked as the Athletic Communications Coordinator for the 2022-23 season. There, Barnett served as the primary communications contact for the men's and women's cross country, women's water polo, women's track and field, and baseball programs. For those programs, Barnett oversaw all website and social media content, as well as all in-game communications for those programs, including play-by-play, broadcast production, public address announcing and live-stats. He also was the primary play-by-play voice of the CSUMB Women's Basketball and Baseball programs.

Prior to his time with Cal State Monterey Bay, Barnett worked as the Director of Sports Information and Game Operations at Menlo College from 2019-2022. While at Menlo, he served as the primary sports information contact for the men's and women's basketball, cross country, track and field, tennis and cheerleading programs. He also served in an operational director role for Menlo's 10 other varsity athletic programs.

Known to many as "The Voice of the Oaks," Barnett provided home play-by-play broadcasting for hundreds of events in his time as both a student and staff member of Menlo College. He has also provided play-by-play commentary for the Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA National Championship Tournaments, as well as for the Menlo Park Legends of the Bay Area Collegiate Summer Baseball League.  

Barnett graduated from Menlo College in 2019 with a bachelor of science degree in both accounting and sports management.  He originally hails from Stevenson Ranch, California.
