Saint Mary's College Athletics Gaels

Scott Standring

Scott Standring is excited to continue his role as a volunteer coach with the Saint Mary’s College Beach Volleyball program as he enters his third season with the team. A native of Moraga, CA, Scott is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community where he grew up.

A graduate of Baruch College in New York, Scott earned a degree in Quantitative Methods and Modeling while competing as a standout indoor volleyball player. During his collegiate career, he made three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, including a Final Four run that led to a third-place national finish. In 2016, he led Division III in aces per set with 0.81 and still holds the Baruch Bearcats’ program record for total assists with 3,433.

Now in his third season as a volunteer coach at Saint Mary’s, Scott is dedicated to helping young athletes develop their skills and compete at the highest level. With a strong competitive background and an analytical approach to the game, he is eager to continue contributing to the success of the Gaels’ beach volleyball program.
